Before you buy
What is a product design subscription?
- A product design subscription is a flat monthly fee for a product design team that works through your requests one at a time, instead of a project quote or a hire. At Recast you file screens, flows, design-system work or website pages as requests; a senior designer works the active one, a design lead reviews it, and it comes back as Figma your engineers can build from. Plans start at $1,999 a month for one active stream.
How much does Recast cost?
- Three self-serve plans, billed monthly in USD: Starter at $1,999 a month for one active stream, Growth at $3,499 for two, and Scale at $4,999 for three with front-end build hours included. Paid annually they are $1,666, $2,916 and $4,166 a month, which is ten months for twelve. The pilot sprint is a one-off $490. Enterprise starts from $8,000 a month with invoicing and a named team.
What is the $490 pilot sprint?
- Five working days on one real screen from your product, paid once at checkout. Two directions on day two, the chosen one refined, every state and a spec frame by day four, and a Figma file with tokens handed over on day five. If you start a plan within ninety days of the handoff the $490 comes off your first month; if you do not, you keep the files.
Is there a contract or a minimum term?
- No. Plans renew monthly or annually and can be paused or cancelled from the dashboard in one click, with no notice period and no fee. Every self-serve plan carries a 14-day full refund, and paused months bank the unused days so they carry forward.
The work
Do you design mobile apps and e-commerce stores?
- Yes. Native iOS and Android screens, cart and checkout flows with every failure state, app store listing screens and storefront templates are filed the same way as any other request and delivered with the same spec frames. Recent work includes ordering and loyalty apps, booking apps and a luxury jewellery store.
Can Recast build the front end, not only design it?
- Yes. A development studio sits behind the design team and builds in React, Next.js, Webflow or Framer from the file it sat beside while it was designed. Scale includes build hours every month; on Starter and Growth the build is quoted separately.
Do you design in Arabic and right-to-left?
- Yes, natively. Arabic type is set in an Arabic family rather than a Latin fallback, right-to-left layouts are re-set rather than mirrored, and numerals, dates, currency and mixed-direction strings are handled correctly. The Arabic version of a screen is designed as a version, by a designer who reads it, on every plan.
What exactly is in the Figma file you deliver?
- The screen at every state, from default and loading to empty, error and long-content cases, built from auto-layout components with variants; a spec frame per screen with spacing, type and colour written as tokens and interaction notes; and a short walkthrough video from the designer explaining the reasoning. Full ownership of the files transfers on delivery.
How it runs
What does “one active stream” actually mean?
- You can file as many requests as you like. A stream is how many we work on at the same time. One stream means one request in progress, revised until you’re happy, then the next starts. Every competitor calls this “unlimited”. It’s the same thing. We just say it out loud, because you’ll find out in week one anyway.
How fast is a request, really?
- First concepts within 48 hours on Starter, 24–48 on Growth, same-day or next business day on Scale. A finished screen with revisions usually closes in two to four working days. A full design system takes weeks, and we’ll say so before you start it rather than after.
Who actually does the work?
- A senior product designer in Amman, with a design lead reviewing before anything reaches you. You’ll get their name and meet them on the kickoff call. If the fit is wrong we swap them, at no cost and without a conversation about why.
Can you work in Arabic?
- Yes, and not as an afterthought. We set Arabic type rather than substituting a fallback, we build right-to-left layouts rather than mirroring left-to-right ones, and we handle numerals, dates, currency and mixed-direction strings correctly.
What if I need it built, not just designed?
- We have a development studio behind the design team. Scale includes front-end build hours; on Starter and Growth we quote the build separately. Because the same people designed it, there’s no handoff tax.
What happens if it isn’t working out?
- Within fourteen days, tell us and we refund the month in full. After that, pause any month and your unused days carry forward, or cancel in one click with no notice period and no fee. You keep everything either way.
Do you work with agencies?
- Add the white-label option to Growth at no extra cost: per-client folders, your brand on every deliverable, an NDA as standard, and our name never appears in front of your client.
Where are you, and what hours do you work?
- Amman, Jordan. Sunday to Thursday with the Gulf, four hours ahead of London, seven ahead of New York.
Working with us
Which time zones and working days do you cover?
- The team is in Amman, Jordan, working Sunday to Thursday. That overlaps Riyadh, Doha and Dubai all day, gives London about four working hours of overlap every day, and lets New York file in its afternoon and wake up to the first pass.
How do I start?
- Create an account at recastux.com/signup, choose a plan or the pilot, and pay by card or PayPal. On a plan the kickoff call is scheduled on the next working day and the first request goes into the stream straight away. If you would rather talk first, book a 20-minute discovery call from any page.
Do you work with enterprises in Saudi Arabia and the UAE?
- Yes. Enterprise plans come with a dedicated named team, invoicing and bank transfer in USD, SAR or AED, an NDA and MSA as standard, vendor registration support, and on-site sessions in Riyadh or Dubai when the work needs them.
