Refund policy
Three promises sit on the pricing page: a 14-day full refund, pause with banked days, and cancel with no notice. This policy is those promises written as rules, so that the person who has to approve the subscription can see exactly what happens if it does not work out.
The promise, in one paragraph
Within fourteen days of your first payment on any self-serve plan, tell us it is not working and we refund that payment in full. One confirmation, no call, no survey, no counter-offer. After fourteen days you can pause any month and your unused days carry forward, or cancel in one action with no notice period and no fee. Whatever you choose, you keep everything we have delivered.
The 14-day full refund
- Who it applies to. Every self-serve plan — Starter, Growth, Scale — on monthly or annual billing.
- What is refunded. The first payment on a new subscription, in full. On a monthly plan that is the first month; on an annual plan it is the full annual charge.
- When. Your request must reach us within fourteen calendar days of the first payment, counted from the time shown on your invoice. Day fourteen counts.
- Conditions. None beyond the timing. You do not need to give a reason, to have filed a request, or to have used the service at all. It applies once per organisation; a second subscription by the same organisation is not eligible.
- Upgrades. If you upgraded within the window, the refund covers everything you paid in the window.
How to ask — one confirmation
In your dashboard, open Billing and choose “Refund and cancel”. You confirm once. The refund is issued immediately to PayPal and your subscription ends at that moment. If you would rather write, send one email to hello@recastux.com from the account owner's address saying you want the refund; we process it within one working day and confirm by email.
There is no retention step. Nobody will ask you to a call, offer a discount, propose a different designer or ask you to reconsider. If we ever do, quote this paragraph and the refund stands regardless.
After fourteen days: pause or cancel
After the window there are no refunds of the current period, pro rata or otherwise. That is not a trap; it is why the window is generous and why the two alternatives below exist. If you have paid for time you cannot use, pause. If you are done, cancel and use the rest of the period.
Pausing with banked days
Pause from Billing at any time, in any month. The unused days left in the current paid period are banked to your account. While paused: no charges, no work on your streams, and nothing changes in your board or files. Resume when you like; the banked days are applied in full before your next charge. Banked days do not expire while your account exists, cannot be converted to cash, and cannot be transferred to another organisation.
Cancelling with no notice
Cancel from Billing at any time, in one action. There is no notice period, no cancellation fee and no form. Your subscription runs to the end of the paid period and stops; nothing further is charged. Your files remain available to download for 24 months. If you cancel by mistake, reactivating within the paid period restores everything with no new charge.
Annual plans
Annual billing charges ten months' worth for twelve months of service, in advance. Within the 14-day window the whole annual charge is refundable. After the window the remaining months are not refunded, but they can be paused and banked in exactly the same way as a monthly plan, and a cancelled annual plan runs to the end of its twelve months. If you switch from annual to monthly, the change applies at the end of the annual term.
The $490 pilot sprint
- The pilot is paid once, at checkout, before the start date is set. If we cannot offer you a start date within ten working days of payment, or cannot offer one you accept, we refund the $490 in full.
- Once the sprint has started, the $490 is not refundable, because the work is being done. If you stop it before day five, you keep what has been delivered up to that day.
- If you subscribe to any plan within ninety days of the pilot handoff, the $490 is credited in full against your first payment. The 14-day refund on that subscription then covers the amount you actually paid — the plan price less the credit.
- The credit is applied once, to one organisation, and has no cash value on its own.
Enterprise
Enterprise engagements are invoiced under a master services agreement, which sets out its own termination and refund terms. Unless the MSA says otherwise, the 14-day refund does not apply to Enterprise, and neither does the no-notice cancellation; the notice period is the one in the MSA.
What you keep
Every deliverable produced up to the moment you refund, pause or cancel is yours: Figma files, tokens, specs, source, recordings. The intellectual property assignment in the terms of service is not conditional on staying subscribed. Third-party licences (fonts, libraries) remain the third party's and are identified in each handoff.
Timing and method
Refunds go back to the payment method you used, through PayPal, in the currency you paid. We issue them the same working day we receive the request; PayPal and your bank typically take three to ten working days to show the money. Bank-transfer payments on Enterprise are refunded by transfer to the originating account. We do not refund to a different method or to a different account.
