The challenge
Sol Pet Resort is a pet hotel with a shop attached. Owners booked stays by phone, staff tracked which room held which animal on paper, and the shop's stock lived in someone's head. The resort wanted an experience for pet owners that felt as considered as the care itself, and a tool that let staff see the whole building at a glance.
What we did
- An employee portal, built in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. A floor map by date shows every room and kennel, who is in it, and a colour-coded temperament tag for each guest, from friendly to aggressive. Booking management, real-time updates and inventory tracking for the pet shop sit alongside it, and the layout is responsive so it works on the floor as well as at the desk.
- A mobile application in Flutter. Owners pick check-in and check-out dates, the number of dogs, cats or others, and a room type, from a standard single to a suite, with add-ons such as webcam access to watch their pet. The same app carries the shop, with secure payment.
- Push notifications for booking updates and special offers, such as discounted day-use stays.
- One ecosystem: the website and the app share the same data, so a reservation made in the app is on the staff floor map immediately.
The result
Owners now reserve, pay and shop from their phone; staff see occupancy and every animal's needs on one map. Together the portal and the app replaced calls, paper and guesswork with a single picture of the resort that both sides trust.
