The challenge
Squibbly is a Dubai lifestyle brand that gives families exclusive, discounted access to kids' activities, venues and classes across the city. The idea was simple; the logistics were not. A parent planning a weekend was moving between several venue websites, calling to confirm, and paying each one separately. On the other side, venues had no shared view of what was booked, what had been redeemed and who had actually arrived.
The brief was the whole product, end to end: something families would open on a Saturday morning, something venues would trust with their availability, and a backend the Squibbly team could run the network from.
What we did
- A family-first mobile experience. Browsing and discovering activities is quick and playful, with filtering by age and interest so parents find the right thing in a few taps.
- A credit-based subscription model with instant booking. No more juggling websites or endless reservations; a plan, a balance of credits, and a confirmed booking.
- QR check-in at the venue, integrated with Apple Wallet, so arriving is fast and nobody is looking for a confirmation email at the door.
- A vendor and venue dashboard. Venues manage listings, activities and availability in real time, and see bookings, redemptions and customer insights for their own performance.
- A full-scale admin platform, built from the ground up, to manage subscriptions, users, venues and the activity catalogue across the network.
- A dedicated scanner companion app for on-site QR validation, so the check-in side of the ecosystem is as reliable as the booking side.
- A warm, family-friendly visual language that feels trustworthy and fun, and a structure designed to scale as new venues, activities and cities join.
The result
Squibbly shipped as one connected system rather than an app with a spreadsheet behind it: the family app, the venue dashboard, the admin platform and the scanner app all read from the same backend. Booking an activity, redeeming it at the door and seeing it in the venue's numbers is one flow, not three.
The parts were built to be added to. New venues, new activities and new cities go into the catalogue without touching the app.
